Zamora is a Chicana, Yaqui and Two Spirit feminist scholar who has taught in Ethnic Studies and Chicana/o Studies in the Bay Area with a focus on Chicana feminism. She currently works in grants administration in the non-profit sector for sexual health and human rights. Her ancestors are Yaqui from northern Mexico’s Sonora and Chihuahua, as well as Tongva from the LA Basin in California. Zamora has lead several Native American drums and is a ceremonial singer and song teacher.
