Sarah C. Jiménez

Program Manager

Born and raised in Chula Vista, San Diego’s border-town to Tijuana, Sarah has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years. Her bachelor’s degree is in Humanities with an emphasis in Activism & Social Change, and in 2015 she received an MFA in English & Creative Writing from Mills College. Sarah has taught English composition and literature classes for the San Mateo Community College District. She also worked as a Program Coordinator for the Achieve Foundation, a leadership and college preparation program for first-generation college students.

In 2014, Jiménez received the prestigious CLF Olga Talamante Award and scholarship. Over the years, she has continued volunteering at CLF in various capacities. Due to the profound impact CLF had on her life—intertwined with the values of being raised by a social worker and educator—Sarah is excited to foster a community of care and educational empowerment in her role as the CLF Program Manager.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys quiet time reading, writing, and exploring new trails with her dogs and her long-term partner.
